William Bidlake was a prominent Birmingham architect during the first half of the 20th century. He greatly admired the work of Pugin, and continued the tradition of designing finely detailed buildings throughout the UK.
He was a prolific draughtsman and produced volumes of drawings recording the architecture and landscape he encountered during his travels across the UK and France. Here, representing a bygone tradition, we present a selection of his delicate pencil sketches as wall murals
