Suzy-Jane Tanner grew up and studied in Paris and London where she worked as a studio artist and then freelance  before concentrating on children’s illustration in 1980.  Since then, she has written and/or illustrated around a hundred books for young children which have been translated into fourteen languages.

She has exhibited in the UK and abroad, most recently as part of the Bath Festival of Children’s Literature in September 2007, 2008 and 2009.
